[Report] The Evolution of Consumer Attitudes

The Evolution of Consumer Attitudes
Consumer research on shopper behavior, online privacy, messaging and loyalty during COVID-19.

Reaching your consumers remotely is more important than ever. In these extraordinary times, delivering clear communications to consumers, fostering good relationships, and building loyalty is of the utmost importance.

In our 2020 Evolution of Consumer Attitudes study, we found how consumers feel about privacy and their own data. Consumers from six different countries share how they want to receive information, what channels work best, and what works to foster brand loyalty.

  • 70% of US consumers do not trust social media platforms with their data because of privacy issues
  • 73% of US consumers have made a purchase from an email offer versus only 31% from a social media ad
  • Almost 9 times as many US consumers are planning to participate in more loyalty programs in 2020 than those planning to reduce participation
