GOOD MORNING POSTMAN FANS!
Some of you reported link failures yesterday on an intermitten
basis. Yes indeed, for a brief period the postman's website was
in fact inoperable and had for all practical purposes, crashed
and burned. Others noticed nothing at all. That is because my
host, which is yahoo webhosting, has a number of different servers
and the outtage was server specific. I was getting ready to call
and find out what was up when a email from tech support explained
it, and sure enuff, not long after, everything went back to normal
and things started to work again. I have used yahoo webhosting to
host this site now for going on 15 years. I remember only a couple
of times when there were service issues, and they took care of it
in short order. Their tech support is 24 seven and I have learned one
thing about websites. U gonna have one, it do not matter on the
price, what matters is the reliability. I probably pay a buck or two
a month more and could maybe find a cheaper deal. But the bottom
line, it would not help me if I switched. I have nothing but good things
to say for them and if you are looking for a good host, give them some
consideration, they are well worth it.
Hopefully things are working ok today.
