Did you know that in the comics Spider-Man's classic quote "With great power comes great responsibility." was never actually spoken by his personification for good (and successful rice seller), Uncle Ben? That 16 year-old dweeb knew that all on his own.
The point is, you don't need someone to tell you your mantra. If you spend your whole life reciting inspirational quotes, you'll never be quoted yourself.
