Doing The Hustle

Hello Wonderful.
Good things don't come easy. This issue is dedicated to everyone out there who is hustling to make things happen despite the universe yanking the rug out from under you along the way. Fires crop up (sometimes literally) but we extinguish them and trudge on towards the horizon. There are 16 days to go before THE WHAT SUMMIT so naturally, our cortisol levels are high. We couldn't have come this far without the love and support of everyone involvedfrom our speakers, partners, team, ticket buyers and numerous loving friends and family who help us at every turn. Thanks for your patience during this period. We'll be able to talk about something else afterward. We promise.

Thank you to the generous readers who have bought tickets for other women who didn't have the budget to attend the Summit. This morning we had one amazing donor (who wishes to remain anonymous) underwrite $200 Off *every* ticket from now until midnight tonight with the code: TWW2018. Finally, thank you to Victoria Silverman at Cook Silverman for launching our Scholarship Program.

The What List
September 19, 2018
by Gina Pell + Amy Parker

100% Editorial picks. No pay for play. Ever.

The Article.  Amy might live in Napa and we may have honed our palettes over countless bottles of rare, fine wines but like everyone else who lives near a TJ's we've enjoyed our fair share of Two Buck Chuck. If you know what we're referring to you're going to love this article we found on ... where else?... The Hustle.

The Tracks.  Allison, our Exec Producer, was our office music aficionado back in the old days when we used to sit side-by-side at Splendora. Here's her latest recommendation Twin Shadow's new album: Caer. It's a little 80s, pop-y, modulated-wavy, and there's a HAIM feature that everyone's in a tizzy about.

The Kids.  Back-to-school is here to stay. For all the over-worked parents who are juggling work, sports, new schools, homework, Harvard Business Review offers a few helpful tips to help manage the chaos. But this is more our style

The Roll.  If you're getting a solid 8 hours of sleep every night, this is not the gadget for you. However, if you wake up looking tired, suffer from migraines or battle morning puffiness, the Esarora ice roller is going to be your new best friend. Shout out to Ashley Kane for this goddess-send.

The Home.  Amy's BFFs and Napa neighbors, Lydia Mondavi and her husband Rob, recently launched a chic home collection exclusively for Williams-Sonoma Home. Rob & Lydia, the consummate hosts with the most, have designed easy, elegant pieces for unwinding and chillaxing with good friends. Make your fall feasts more festive this season

THE WHAT SUMMIT SNEAK-PEAK with Susan Griffin-Black
TOPIC: Conscious Leadership

Susan Griffin-Black, CEO of EO Products is a supporter and friend of THE WHAT. And, she is also our Zen Master guru when it comes to living a life of meaning and leading a company with purpose and enlightenment. We visited EO's offices a few days ago for a super casual chat with Susan about what Conscious Leadership means to her and broadcast it as a Fb Live in our private women's group. It's not glossy, structured, or recorded in a sound studio but there's some good stuff in here about being present, listening, and black boots. We'll be doing these video chats on the regular just as soon as the Summit is over. In a few days, we will also be posting to our open Fb site so everyone can watch. Please follow us there to watch.

Spend the day with us to learn from and connect with our extraordinary lineup of game-changing women and attendees as they discuss topics that are top of mind for so many usfrom financial wellness, leadership, and purpose to parenting, women's health, and creating a life of meaning.
