Help Is Right Here

Hello Wonderful.
Our longtime reader friend, Brandi, sent us a link to a video from TEDx Prague (she often sends us great tips so we always pay attention). In it, lifestyle coach Barbara Sher, talks about how she's watched people change their lives, get what they want, and pursue their dreams. Turns out, it's not really about optimism, organization, or meticulous planning but about asking for help. We're going to give it a try right now: can you please help us grow our community by telling 10 friends? We have found that personal emails work best with a few sentences of why you think they should subscribe to The What along with a link to our sign up page at thewhatlist.com. Thank you for helping us.

The What List

100% Editorial picks. No pay for play. Ever.

The Ask.  Most people are problem solvers and helpful by nature. But, if you're going around telling everyone how great things are when in reality you're hiding dashed dreams, major regrets, and no idea how to get what you want ... you are sabotaging yourself. Watch this talk by life coach Barbara Sher, assemble your team of helpers, and get ready to rock.

The Heart.  A group of friends created Collective Hearts, a heart-based jewelry company (literally) that gives to charity with every purchase. Their stunning signature necklace is a giant open heart that you can layer over jewelry. We've always admired this necklace on other girlfriends and it turns out we were all connected through other friends. Perfect gifts for your big hearted besties.

The Fat.  So many people we know are on the Keto diet but eating a plate of bacon and blending butter into coffee never sounded quite right to us. Here's the latest from Harvard Health Publishing: Should You Try The Keto Diet?

The Profanity.  And here's something else we've always suspected, and this comes from and article National Geographic, Swearing Is Good For You.

The Chore.  Jeff Bezos does it. So does Bill Gates. We're going to approach this task tonight with a new level of mindfulness.

WE GET BY WITH A LITTLE
HELP FROM OUR FRIENDS

Support the brands that support THE WHAT

When we started The What, almost three years ago, we made a vow that we would only work with brands we use, love, and believe in. We're proud to report that we stayed true to our mission and in the process have found some truly special products, companies, and teams of people who also share our passion for empowering and inspiring women inside and out. Over the next few months, we will be hosting events, product gifting, and bringing you TW members-only privileges. In the meantime, check out these cool brands and let us know if you have any questions. Stay tuned for fun partner activities and announcements very soon.

EO PRODUCTS.  By now you should know all about EO Products and our relationship with its soulful co-founder Susan Griffin-Black. This week we filmed a Fb Live on how and why to use essential oils especially with back-to-school, the holidays, and cold and flu season on the horizon. In case you missed it, watch here.

TONALWe were turned on to Tonal by a savvy, trusted friend. She was the one who told us Soulcycle would be a hit way back when. As former DVD workout fiends, we fell in love with the idea of having access to a bevy of personal trainers on a torso-sized flatscreen that transforms into a gym for a total body workout. We'll be working out at Tonal's San Francisco Showroom on Union Street over the next few months. Send us an email to let us know if you want to join a workout. And use the promo code thewhat to get 3 months complimentary membership with your Tonal purchase.

WELLECO.  Amy discovered WelleCo a few months back when one of her BFFs couldn't stop raving about her newfound glow and all-day energy. Fast forward three months, Amy's quit caffeine and makes The Super Elixir Greens part of her daily morning ritual. Co-founded by Elle Macpherson, as she was approaching 50 and feeling run down, their natural Super Elixirs are 100% plant-based beauty products to support a healthier system, from gut to skin to energy. We'll be concocting all sorts of WelleCo smoothies and recipes to keep us clean during this holiday season. Drink your greens here.
