GOOD MORNING POSTMAN FANS
It is 1 am in the morning. Everyone is sprawled out in the living
room on the couches like a grade school slumber party. This
very old house we live in has no furnace heat runs running
upstairs. Just open registers in the floors as they did in the
good old days. So, needless to say, no AC up there either, and it
is stiffling. Everyone is camped out in the cool, and I suspect,
based on the weather man's report, it likely ain't gonna
be much different for the postman clan for most of the next week.
The heat wave is gonna be pretty miserable for some time anyways.
It would appear that the only one happy about this arrangement
is Turk the dog, aka Carlos the rat, as his only concern is
trying to decide who he should curl up with and on which sofa.
And btw, in the winter time folks ask me why we put up with
the snow and the cold here its not so beautiful in west Michigan
that time of year. Well. alls I can say is I feel sorry for y'all
in Texas, Florida, Alabama, and etc. right now.
