Hi Friends-
This is going to be a lighter newsletter because I have been spending all of my time & energy getting ready for the launch of one of my biggest projects to date. And it's finally here…
I am thrilled to announce that KILN, my brand-new creative incubator, is now open for registration. : )
KILN = 🔥 for your creative ideas
KILN is a catalyst, a sacred container, and a community.
It is the warm, generative, creative space you've been craving — and the accountability you need — to regularly show up and build momentum around the ideas and projects that matter most.
KILN is all about creating time and space for real, meaningful creative transformation. And that transformation can look a lot of different ways, depending on where you're at:
- You might have a specific creative project or business idea that's been on the back burner & you are ready to move the needle on it
- You might be transitioning between careers or on the cusp of a reinvention & you are ready to envision your next chapter
- You might have specific creative blocks or challenges that have been holding you back & you are ready to connect to your process in a new, more generative way
- You might feel the distant call of an intuition, an idea, or a creative yearning that you are ready to explore more deeply
- Or, you might just be tired of relying solely on your own willpower and moxie to motivate every day, and feel ready to explore a lighter, more easeful way of creating
The transformative fire of KILN is a great fit for all of these scenarios.
The seed of this idea actually arose out of my own desire to break out of isolation, create accountability for myself, and engage in my own creative process with less agony and more ease.
And I don't think that I am alone in wanting these things — in yearning to infuse my work with more joy, camaraderie, and support.
Human beings are social animals, and we are just naturally more motivated and engaged when we are surrounded by a community of like-minded people who are on the same journey.
So that is what I am creating with KILN — a community of conscious creators who are all striving to put beautiful, meaningful, impactful work out in the world.
And I will be bringing all of my experience as a teacher, a facilitator, an energy worker, and someone who has studied productivity & creativity for over 15 years, into the space to help you in real, tangible, practical ways like:
- Get crystal clear on what you want to accomplish creatively, and the path to get there, as we kick off KILN with a guided Intention & Energy Activation session
- Find more freedom, flow, and ease in your creative process as you learn how to release "toxic motivators" (i.e. guilt, shame, fear) and overcome creative blocks in our regular Alchemy Coaching sessions
- Sink into a regular rhythm of showing up for your creativity, connecting with the muse, and evolving your practice as we gather for weekly Co-Creation Sessions
- Gather energy, insight, and encouragement from the community as we come together once a month for Deep Dive Retreat days to synthesize and celebrate our progress, brainstorm new ideas, share our work for feedback (optional!), and demo new creative tools
KILN will be unfolding in three, seasonal cycles: Spring, Summer, and Fall. Each cycle will be short — about 8 weeks — so that you can commit to your creativity without feeling over-committed.
Registration is now open for the Spring cycle of KILN, which runs April 21st - June 25th.

"What if our triggers are love letters showing us where we want to receive care?" That's an excerpt from an interview with astrologist Britten LaRue about the idea of "un-shaming the zodiac signs." You do not have to be interested in astrology to get a lot out of this conversation about how we stereotype different traits like ambition, optimism, stubbornness, and being "emotional," among others. That said, this podcast clocks in at 4+ hours; if you want to jump to a specific sign, check out the time markers here.
Poet Fady Joudah on how the war in Gaza changed his work. A moving interview with Palestinian-American poet Fady Joudah: "Let me put it in the words James Baldwin used to describe progress: 'You always told me it takes time. It has taken my father's time, my mother's time, my uncle's time, my brothers' and my sisters' time, my nieces' and my nephews' time. How much time do you want for your 'progress'?'" Here is one of his beautiful poems.
How to use AI to help you write a book. Ethan Mollick on how he created "AI second readers" and other cyborgs to help him write his book: "I have the typical academic's curse of wanting to add too much complexity and nuance to everything. AI is great at summarizing and simplifying, so I wanted to get some advice [for my book] on where I could do the same. I decided the advice would feel a bit easier to take if the AI had an over-the-top personality, so I created Ozymandias by prompting: You are Ozymandias. You are going to help Ethan Mollick write a book chapter on using AI at work. Your job is to offer critical feedback to help improve the book. You speak in a pompous, self-important voice but are very helpful and focused on simplifying things."
How to grow old like Isabella Rossellini. A lovely interview with the inimitable actress on aging, learning how to farm, and being single for 25 years: "Most animals do not go through menopause, but women do, and some whales do. And there is a hypothesis called the "grandmother hypothesis," saying why these species live half of their life not being fertile. And probably it evolved because we have played a very important role in society... The whales that have grandmothers, they are more successful in surviving because there is an extra pair of eyes, and there is the experience. And I wonder if it is the same thing for us."
Watch this chameleon erupt in color. A breath-taking video of a chameleon whose body pulses through every color she has ever embodied as she passes into the next life. Beautiful and heart-breaking.

How Quinta Brunson hacked the sitcom.
