We value your safety  In light of recent social media reports, we just wanted to remind you of our safety features — designed to keep you safe before, during, and after rides. Here are just some of the ways we ensure your Bolt rides go as smoothly as possible: Document verification - We monitor driver and vehicle documents regularly to ensure they're legally compliant.  24/7 customer support - Whatever the problem, you're never alone. You can reach out to us in the Bolt app anytime. Emergency assist - You can quickly and discreetly alert the emergency services via a button in the app should you need to. Your number stays private - Any contact between you and a driver is made in-app, so your phone number's never displayed. Identify verification - We're rolling out facial recognition through selfie checks to guarantee the driver you see in the app's the one who picks you up. That's why we thoroughly investigate all safety issues brought to our attention. But there are also precautions you can take to be on the safe side: Find a clear and well-lit pick-up spot. Ensure the car model and the driver match what you see in the app. Share your ride details with loved ones. Wear a seat belt. Don't share any personal information Rate your ride (if you rate a driver 1 star, you won't be matched with this driver again). Find cars nearby How to report a safety issue In the unlikely event of a safety problem, it's crucial you report it in the app by selecting your trip in the Help section of the main menu. Doing so will help us tackle the issue as soon as possible. And reporting in the app is more effective than contacting us via social media — where we can't ask for private data or identify your driver immediately (even with screenshots).
