HELLO POSTMAN FANS!
So, Friday night, sweltering in the heat, I'm telling the
war department. "Man, it would be awful to have a power
outage right now, wouldn't it?" And guess what? Yeah, like
2 hours later, son is waking me up "Dad Dad...." You can guess
the rest. Finally, this morning (Monday) I am sitting on the front
porch and lo and behold, here comes the utility truck from the
power company. Checking all the lines, and 20 mins later, the
world is right again. The irony is that while the storms did knock
out the grid over the weekend, it also broke the heat wave, today
I am almost shivering. Go figger, eh? Anyways, its good to be
back with you and back "on the grid" once again! You ever watch those
survival type shows, you know, the ones where they show these
"rugged people" living off the grid? Like Alaskan bush people, they
make being off the grid with no power and all that look so romantic?
Bullcrap! Not having power?? IT SUX big time!
