HELLO POSTMAN FANS!
I was never much on Ash Wednesday or Lent. However,
for reasons unclear right now, I decided to observe the "holiday"
this year. The fasting, well that did not work out so good. Being a
diabetic, my sugar dropped low enough in the early afternoon on
Wednesday to realize this was a futile thing to do. Now the other thing,
the give something up deal? I chose to give up electronic devices! I am
happy to say that I have been free of such things for at least 2 days now!
Yes, I did have to spend about 3 hrs or so yesterday and the day before
on the computer to do this page and keep you folks happy. But otherwise,
after the page went out, shut the thing down. That was different! In the mean
time, I was cleaning out the office and found an old Tom Clancy novel
that I had started, but realized, I never finished.! I was only going
to give up the electronic thing on Wednesday, but I have been
reading up a storm for the past couple days since those types
of novels run about 4 or 5 hundred pages. Dated, but a good
read nevertheless. You know what I decided about the
whole thing? Reading is good, but I miss my devices :)
