HELLO POSTMAN FANS!
I shuddered as we pulled up to the pumps to fill up the
"beast". The wonderful prices at the pumps showed it all.
From just over a couple dollars a gallon for unleaded regular
about 2 or 3 weeks ago, and now, running just under 3 bux
per gallon. And according to a blog on the gasbuddy website,
"no end in sight." March madness, they call it. There is
"always" a good reason, so they say. The analysts and
experts are citing 2 fires in 2 separate refineries, which
have contributed to the spike, and of course, spring time
and warm weather causes higher demand. My pappy always
had a better explanation for why the price went up...
"because they can." Perhaps a more "pointed" reason,
in my estimation.
And our new governor, Governor Gretchen Whitmer?
The first thing she does when she gets into office,
she announces that she wants to institute a 45 cent
per gallon sales tax hike on top of it. hmmmm.
