But the COMPTON rapper, whose third album, STAY DANGEROUS, is out today, tells ROLLING STONE, "I don't wanna do nothing with Trump. I got an open case right now, I'm cool." Translation: It's 2018 and musicians think the government is listening to their records. And punishing them if necessary. Paranoia? Or completely understandable? His "BIG BANK" is featured in the NFL-sanctioned MADDEN 19 video game, and a TWITTER user on Thursday noticed a name had been edited out of a BIG SEAN guest verse in the Madden version—that of COLIN KAEPERNICK, persona non grata in both the league and the current White House. The quarterback's girlfriend, NESSA DIAB, publicly complained; Big Sean called the unauthorized edit "disappointing and appalling," and later Thursday, the game's maker, EA SPORTS, took the blame, saying, "We messed up." If you find yourself asking, "Did you actually mess up, or were you just caught?," you're not alone. But at least the game company is going to make it right. YG, meanwhile, just donated $150,000 to GIRL CODE LA, a startup mentoring young women who want to work in tech. Because artists are cool like that...
