You know, with all this nasty weather stuff outside
(not that I am personally experiencing it...I
have not gone outside in days) the really
ironic thing? If we get a huge snow storm on Sunday morning,
you sit there and watch all the church closings scroll across the
tv,...and the list is so long, by the time its cycled thru,
you missed ur own church watching the list to see if
your church was closed in the first place!
The other irony about blizzards and such?
When all the schools in the county are closed cuz of a snow
day, they play the school closings over and over and they scroll
across your tv screen all morning, and at 2 in the afternoon,
they are still playing on the screen. It seems to me, by this time
of the day, wouldn't kids know by then that they were not
having class if they were still home at 2 in the afternoon?
I hear that there is a move in public education "away" from
snow days to be replaced by home based "google study" days.
Wow, times change eh? Not sure why we don't keep kids home
anyway, instead of the huge waste
in the current education system for money, and then just teach
them through the internet. Help solve the bully issue.
Oh I forgot, that would require a parent to stay home and actually
interact and care for their child...never mind.
