GOOD MORNING POSTMAN FANS!
You might remember,a couple issues back, I was
talking about developing hobbies? I have to say,
my arm is just a tad bit sore today. No No !!! not
from that. Yesterday, I took my first refresher course
in leather making class. I've dug out my old leather tools
which I have not used in over 20 years and decided that
would be a good hobby to resume. Have to say, what with
the hammering for a couple hours and such, the arm is just
a bit out of shape! I also now have a place to volunteer.
& starting next week, I will be doing volunteer work at the botanical
gardens we have here in town. They are beautiful. I love the
butterflies. And last but not least, I dug out my daughter's
old piano books from when she was in grade school and I
currently am teaching myself the piano, The house now echos
with the sounds of "twinkle twinkle little star"...driving the
war department nuts every time she sits down to watch a movie.
on tv, LOL . I have cribbage club, which plays every Tuesday
night. And I spend a couple hours a week volunteering at the
food pantry at church . There is chess club. That meets on Thursday.
Then of course, I also spend 2 or 3 hours every day doing
this silly little joke page. Not sure why I do. Just something
I've done for the last 15 or 20 years now. But, I have always
enjoyed telling a good joke, thus motivating me to send this
to you every day. And in my old age, have learned another
little fact of life...
Yeah. busy is good. You having a little trouble falling asleep
at night? You feeling just a tad lonely or maybe depressed?
Get yourself busy with a few hobby activities. Volunteer a little
bit. I admit, it can be a bit challenging with this emphasyma
thing I got going, But u know what? Does a body good !!!

I figure that is enough to keep me occupied.
Good to stay busy.
