I am certain there is too much certainty in the world.

GOOD MORNING POSTMAN FANS!
I have used Comcast for tv, phone and internet for
years. I like the product. But dealing with that provider
on a personal level? its a night mare. Well anyways, to make
a long story short, I got an email purporting to be from a
service called Constant Guard, sponsored by Comcast. I saw that
it was a deadly warning about some serious virus issues I could
have with potential malware trouble on my pc. Well, normally I
dismiss such things as scams, but as I looked closely it did appear
to be from Comcast. What the heck. So I call em at customer service
and they indeed said that Constant Guard was a new service they provide.
Prying a little further, I said, "Well, does this mean I really do in
fact have virus issues and all that on my system.?" The lady replied that
no, it just meant that they wanted me to sign up for the free trial service
they were offering with Norton security suit. Disgusted, I hung up the phone
and went back to what I was doing. I dislike Norton with a passion. It
might be free for their 3 months of intro service. but we all know what happens
after that. I  have to wonder why Comcast couldn't have just been up front
and tell me what it was about, instead of trying to scare me into getting
software that I had no desire to use. I know a lot of you use Norton,
but for me, there is better choices out there.
oh well. to each his own.
Oh one more thing? if you are a business person out there?
be honest and upfront with your customer. its the right thing to do.
