GOOD MORNING POSTMAN FANS!
When we bought our 2012 Cruze last year, it
came with a trial service of On Star and xm radio
for "free", for whatever months. I chose to keep up
the On Star when the trial period ran out. War department
leaves early in the morning for work and I feel a little
better having her on the road with it. She has a cell phone,
so the talk is not needed. And the gps, well we can live
without that. But the emergency service? well worth On Star
to know that she is safe on the road. The xm radio, well
that is a different story. Of the multitude of channels they
had, I only listened to a couple of country stations, and the
war departnment only listened to one or two also. Naturally,
when they wanted us to shell out 28 bux a month to continue the
service I just laffed at them. But of course not long ago I got
an offer of six months worth of service for only 25 bux total, and which
I readily accepted. Later, I found that what they did not tell me
was it featured a very limited selection of channels, and there is
no online availability with that package .
So essentially the 25 bux was pretty well a
waste. Its really unfortunate but if they want you to subscribe to
a premium service, it seems to me that they should offer it to you.
Sortof like if you go in a restaurant and you order a steak, you would
not expect them to bring you a hamburger, right? Well,
I suppose if you are a travelling salesman (not sure if there are any
of those left these days with gas prices going thru the roof) or a cross
country trucker, you may appreciate it. But over all? probably not one
of your best bargains unless they offer you a really super good deal.
