GOOD MORNING POSTMAN FANS!
I Went to the convenience store to buy a soda.
(pop, to u northern folk) Scanning the cooler,
I had a choice of those horrendously nasty 20 oz bottles
of flat lousy or a fountain pop of flat lousy. I am
a throw back of the old days and I remember on a hot
day, going in and buying a good ole chilled glass bottle
of Mountain Dew, remember? Nothing better than a cold
chilled bottle. Somehow, plastic, IMO, kills the taste of
a good soda. And remember how the glass bottle of Dew had
the little moonshiner running up the hill to the outhouse?
painted on the outside of the bottle? That is
until the "Appalachian Mountain Association" sued Pepsi for
discrimination. Funny thing how nobody ever heard of that group
until they filed the lawsuit on behave of the well being of
"all mountain people everywhere." (I suspect they were probably
cousins of the folks who brought the lawsuit against the makers
of Fritos and the Frito Bandito. Remember him? well, thats another
story and I digress here) Anyways,,,
I know Pepsi makes that "Throwbacks"
Dew that is supposed to be like the old recipe. Its not, really,,
but its a good imitator. But then, I remembered my diabetes, and
grabbed a diet Dew. sigh.
Sometimes memories are better left as memories:(

Hillary Clinton announced today that she will
not be running for president in 2016 in a very
short press release. No reason for her decision
was given. However, annonymous sources close to
the former Secretary of State claimed her choice
was made for health reasons. Apparently a brain
tumor was found when she went in for a colonoscopy.

GOOD MORNING POSTMAN FANS!
If you have read this page for any length of time,
you may be aware of my struggles with food.
As a diabetic, I know what I'm supposed to do.
But, alas, the saying goes, the spirit is willing
but the flesh is weak. The other day, however, I
announced to the war department my intention of
pursuing a new diet. To which she raised a
quizical eye...
"yeah, its called a 'light diet."
"uh huh..."
"I eat only when it is light out."
However, she showed no smile of appreciation.
One late night, I was standing at the refigerator
door looking for leftovers, when the war department
stumbled downstairs.
"I thought you were only going to eat when there was
light?"
"Well, the refrigerator light is on, isn't it?"
Sometimes wimmin have no sense of humor:(

Well folks, remember I was talking
about the trees between my house and
the dreaded "trailer park transients" next
door? You remember. Their trees, but they
are growing over the fence and screwing up
the roof of my house? Well, lets say they
WERE. as you recall, as well, I had a tree
service to come in and trim them back at my
own expense. Thought you might like to see a
little picture of the completed project.
I like that tree service. They do good work.
